[It was his first time in a while to get a hold of real ingredients so of course Yata got a little ambitious. He had perfectly been in control however and the food came out great. His roomie just insisted on being a jerk about it all the time.]
What if there's a sudden gas leak or something, you live in Midas! [Honestly, Yata can't see it but maybe he'll hear it, he's smiling a little. Gyro's just fucking with him after all.]
[Yata gives a start. Only a few people in Amoi know his first name and no one really uses it, except for Saruhiko but of course that guy totally doesn't count. The voice doesn't sound familiar either....]
[The Black Dog? What is he doing here? Yata knows anyone can be pulled into this world without warning but suddenly being contacted by someone from his world takes him by surprise anyway. And is Saruhiko so busy again that he couldn't even find the time to warn him?!]
[The mention of Totsuka's murder has Yata immediately on edge. Even though more than a year has passed and he's come to accept it, any reminder of that night is still not welcome. It shakes him, and combined with the fact that both he and Saruhiko come from around the same era, Yatogami's information doesn't sink in as a difference in timelines right away.]
...What? What do you mean it happened less than a week ago?!
[That's a lot of stuff to forget. There's a bit of silence from the other end of the line as Yata takes a moment to get over his surprise before--]
...So? Why did you want to talk to me about it? I already know that he didn't...kill Totsuka, so I ain't gonna go after him if that's what you're worried about.
